Imagine over 80 acres of timber on tap for your immediate use. The team Max Birt Sawmills (MBS) consists of over 180 staff at 2 locations in the North Island , Ohinewai and Pokeno. We produce and stock large volumes of timber at MBS Pokeno and MBS Ohinewai sites.
MBS has invested heavily over recent years with the recent acquisition of the Pokeno mill site (formerly Ahead Sawmills). A heavy capex program in place to upgrade existing machinery has seen us double production at this site in a short amount of time. This has enabled us to increase production of high grades and target cut specialty products up to 7.2m long.
Traditionally Max Birt Sawmills has been known for its timber Fencing products – Palings / Rails and Posts. With the constant capex program implemented over the last decade the company has evolved significantly with multiple product lines being added over the years. MBS now produce Fencing / Decking / Retaining / SG8 verified framing / F7 framing for export and special profiles. With over 6000 different timber products being stocked now there is a good chance we can provide for all your timber requirements!
